What are the hours for toll-free ordering?
We accept telephone orders Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm EST (6am to 2pm PST).

When do I need to order?
Internet orders placed by 12 noon can be hand delivered in the area of New York City or Los Angeles on that very day, or shipped nationwide for next-day arrival. You can order as far in advance of a desired delivery date as you want. Orders during the busy holidays may be handled differently.

Can I get a same day hand delivery in New York or Los Angeles?
You can get same day hand delivery in New York or Los Angeles if you complete your order by 12 noon. Orders during the busy holidays may be handled differently.

Can I get a same day delivery anywhere else in the country?
Since we ship overnight or two-day air express to all locations outside New York and Los Angeles, you cannot get same day delivery nationwide. If you complete your internet order by 12 noon on, say, Monday, we can ship a gift on Monday to arrive on Tuesday.

How do I know you have received my online order?
You will receive confirmation of your order via email at the email address that you provide.

Can you hold my online order if it is incomplete (for example, missing address or message or credit card)?
No, we cannot.

How do I check on the status of my order?
You may email us with a question about an existing order, track your order online (see Customer Service), or phone us at (800) 841-5718.

What is the difference between a fresh fruit basket for hand delivery and a shippable hamper?
Fresh fruit baskets are arranged in open, handled baskets that are then covered with fine netting. They are designed for hand delivery only, as they must be kept upright. In contrast, fresh fruit and fine food hampers are designed for shipping. The ingredients are nestled in paper excelsior and closed in a lidded willow hamper. The hampers are shipped in cardboard boxes, with ice packs when necessary.

What is a "comestible"?
We use the word "comestible" to describe a non-fruit edible that can be added to a fresh fruit gift. Comestibles include biscotti, chocolates, cheese sticks and cheddar cheese.

Can I just stop by your shop and pick up a fresh fruit gift? Other gifts?
Since our fresh fruit gifts are made to order, you cannot just pick up a fresh fruit gift You may, however, stop by our retail location in Manhattan and pick up chocolates, cookies, cakes, coffee and tea gifts and dried fruit boxes.

Can I include wine or champagne in a gift?
Under some circumstances we can arrange to have wine or champagne delivered with your gift. You must telephone us to make arrangements. (800) 841-5718

Can I pick the fruits I want in my fresh fruit gift?
Unfortunately allowing customers to pick specific fruits for their gifts would mean that many orders would become custom orders, and we would be unable to satisfy the demand for our products. We make every effort to include a wide variety of the season's finest fruits in our fresh fruit gifts. If, however, there is an issue about allergies, please call us.

Is the fruit washed?
No, washing fruit accelerates the ripening process. Also, many of the fruits we use have a natural "bloom" that is attractive and reminds you that these fruits are actually grown on trees, and not manufactured. You may want to wash the fruit before eating.

Do you custom design baskets?
Yes, we will work with customers to design gifts for special events such as product launches, promotions, weddings and parties, etc.

Do you sell balloons?
No.

Do you make fruit "platters" with cut fruit?
No.

DELIVERY

How far do you hand deliver in the New York City and Los Angeles areas?
We hand deliver gifts in an approximate 25-mile radius of Manhattan and downtown Los Angeles. When you address your gift, you will be told if hand delivery is an option for the destination zip code, and the hand delivery charge to that location.

What is the charge for hand delivery? Shipping?
The charge for hand delivery in the Manhattan and Los Angeles areas is based on the distance and difficulty of completing the delivery. Shipping charges vary based on the weight of the gift, shipping distance, and service requested (overnight, two-day, Saturday, etc.).

Do you ship to foreign countries, including Canada?
Although we do not ship to foreign countries, we have found an extremely reliable and high quality option for international shipments in:
gifts of course.

Do you ship to Hawaii?
Yes, we ship to Hawaii.

Why can't you ship fresh fruit to Arizona?
Arizona is an agricultural state that strictly prohibits the importation of fruits from other states. We do offer gifts such as dried fruit boxes and chocolates that may be shipped into Arizona because they do not contain fresh fruits.

Is there a special charge for Saturday delivery?
For both nationwide shipping and hand delivery in or around NYC and LA, there is a surcharge for Saturday deliveries. This surcharge covers the increased expense we incur to make these deliveries.

Can I ship to a P.O. Box?
No, shipments cannot be addressed to a Post Office Box.

Will I receive an email confirmation that my gift has been shipped or hand delivered?
For orders that are shipped, you will receive an email confirmation that your gift has been shipped, which include a UPS tracking number and link so you can follow the progress of the shipment. For orders that are hand delivered, you will receive an email confirmation after your gift has been delivered, which includes proof of delivery (the name of the person who signed for the gift and the time).

Can I track the delivery status of my order online?
There is a link to "Track an Order" on the home page (right hand navigation) as well as on every page of the website in a link at the bottom of each page ("Order Tracking"). At this time, you can only track orders that have been shipped, and not orders that have been hand delivered. But be assured, for every hand delivered order, we will email you a delivery confirmation after it has been delivered.

Billing or house accounts are available for businesses only. House accounts must be supported by a valid credit card that we keep on file to secure payment. In order to set up a house account, you must telephone Manhattan Fruitier and speak to a customer service representative. (800) 841-5718

What if my organization is exempt from Sales Tax?
If your organization is exempt from sales tax, you will have to telephone us so we can set up a tax exempt account for you. We require that you fax us a federal, New York or California tax exempt certificate.

Go to our unsubscribe page or follow the link from our Home page. Enter the exact email address you are subscribed under. If your email address is in our database, you will be taken to a page confirming your unsubscribe.

How can I stop being a registered internet customer?
Please give us a call and we will be happy to un-register you.

What should I do if I forget my Password?
Go to Customer Service and enter the email address that the account is registered under. Email addresses are case sensitive. Your password will be emailed to that email address.

How to I update my "Recipient List" online?
Once you create a Customer Account online, you have the ability to build a Recipient List, with the option to add, update and delete recipients. You will find that it’s a great way to speed up your shopping online. There are two ways to access and edit your Recipient List: go to Customer Service and login using your email address and password, or, if you are already logged in, click on My Account in the upper right hand corner. You will see your Recipient List at the bottom of the page and will have t he option of sending a gift to an existing recipient, adding a new recipient, changing recipient information or deleting a recipient.
