Sample Thank You Notes. Help Writing a Thank You Message
Saying "thank you" can be an open-hearted, generous gesture or a more formal gesture
dictated by custom or business practice. A thank you note may be for an act that
is entirely personal or business related. So your thank you card wording has to be
flexible. But perhaps most importantly, it should be sincere and also specific,
for example, "Thank you for the lovely dinner last night." It is always best to send
a gracious thank you note as promptly as possible, but remember a belated
thank you is better than no thank you at all.
What makes a good thank you note:
- Be specific: mention what you are thankful for.
- Be prompt: send the thank you as soon as possible after the event, but don’t let lateness stop you from sending the thank you gift.
- Be succinct: have the note be about the thank you and not other unrelated matters.
- You don’t have to send a thank you gift in response to a thank you. This means that if someone sends you a thank you gift, say for a lovely evening, you don’t have to respond by sending a thank you gift for the thank you.
Here are a few sample thank you cards. You may use them as a jumping off point for your own thank you message:
- Thank you so much.
- We always appreciate your hospitality.
- Thanks for putting up with the noise from our construction.
- You were so thoughtful, kind and generous.
- We can’t thank you enough for.
- Thanks for a wonderful & relaxing weekend.
- Thank you for your sweetness and caring.
Expressing your thanks with a gift of fresh fruit is a natural.
Giving a ripe pear or other fruit is a great way to say "thank you"
for handling a situation with maturity. And just so there's no
mistaking the message, our thank you gifts also include a trio
of Thank You Cookies (grazie, merci & thank you).
