Fontodi Chianti Classico 2010

This 100% Sangiovese from Tuscany has a strong pedigree and the 2010 vintage is particularly spectacular with great acidity and finesse. Notes of cherries, red berries and earth balance over the tannins to make this a perfect wine to pair with savory foods such as cheeses and meats. Try it with our Charceuterie Sampler, any of our Cheese Hampers, Proscuitto and Parmigiano Hamper or our HealthWise Mediterranean Diet Baskets. $39 at Quality House Wines [Wine Code MF2]

Domaine de Beaurenard Chateauneuf du Pape 2010

This is a notable French red wine from the Southern Rhone Valley that pairs well with dried fruits, charcuterie, cheese and chocolate. The bouquet displays concentrated herbaceous and spice aromas. On the palate, it is balanced and elegant with notes of red berry fruit, cocoa and tobacco. The name "Chateauneuf du Pape" designates the wine region originally established in the 14th century when the popes built a papal castle (chateau in French) for their visits to Avignon. The popes developed exceptional vineyards in the rich soil of the area around the chateau. $59 at Quality House Wines [Wine Code MF3]

Kaltern Caldaro Pinot Grigio 2014

Franciacorta Extra Brut Ricci Curbastro
Franciacorta and Champagne are both sparkling wines that use the same two primary grape varieties. But the wines are quite different. The Franciacorta zone was formed by glaciers that emerged eons ago from the Alps. In their retreat they left sandy, well-drained soil that produces a more delicate aromatic profile than the chalky soils of Champagne. The climate is warmer as well. Grapes ripen easily in Franciacorta, allowing the winemaker to produce a base wine without the typical interventions required in a cooler climate. Franciacorta is for all wine lovers who understand that there is more to explore beyond Champagne. Known for its creaminess on the palate and aromatic subtlety. Pairs well with our cheese and smoked salmon gifts. $49 at Quality House Wines  [Wine Code MF7]

Veuve Cliquot Brut Yellow Label NV
A champagne that everybody knows and loves. Goes well with our Smoked Salmon Baskets and is a perfect complement to any of our fresh fruit gifts. $55 at Quality House Wines  [Wine Code MF8]

Taittinger Prelude Grand Crus NV
Produced only using first press wines, this rare blend offers the finesse and structure that a great wine needs. On the palate, this wine strikes the perfect balance between the mineral Chardonnay and the strongly expressive Pinot Noir. A true example of French champagne's perennial strength and elegance. The Prelude exudes a beautiful finish with power and delicacy. This champagne pairs perfectly to any of the well-endowed chocolate baskets. $115 at Quality House Wines  [Wine Code MF9]

Hagafen Cellars Chardonnay 2012

This Chardonnay is sourced from the Hall vineyard in the heart of the Oak Knoll district on the south end of the greater Napa Valley appellation. It was aged in partial neutral American oak for 6 months. With its light sunflower hue and vanilla, butterscotch, citrus, papaya, and kiwi bouquet. This Chardonnay presents an integrated, melodious blending of bright apple, pear, and lemon, with a kiss of toasty oak and vanilla.

Hagafen Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

This new release of Cabernet from the Moskowite Ranch in Napa Valley reminds us that Cabs can be both bright and dark, fruit forward and bold, soft and yet strong. A medium-to-full bodied wine with a dark, rich garnet color. The aromatic nose is redolent of mixed dark berries and currant balanced with hints of rosemary and herbs. The bouquet is full and round with a dusty chocolate aroma, a hint of lovely soft vanilla and just a dash of cinnamon. $59 at Quality House Wines  [Wine Code MF 11]

Domaine du Castel Grand Vin 2009
Our final selection from the Domaine du Castel Estate is a 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. The blend comes together with refined elegance, full-body and a velvety finish. Aged 20-24 months in new French oak barrels. This is a wine that will surely impress the most distinct palate. $79 at Quality House Wines  [Wine Code MF12]
