Eleven brothers, four sisters and a small herd of goats and cows have been raised by Robert and Gisell Gervais on their family farm, the Boston Post Dairy in Enosburg, VT. The sisters own the farm now, and with their parents have created this wonderful cheese, a 2011 Gold medal winner at The Big E.
A delicious washed rind tomme-style cheese lovingly named after their eleven brothers. It is aged 5-6 months and has a rich buttery texture with bright, grassy notes.
One sister says: "As anyone with boys knows it's a lot of work to raise them, and the same goes for aging our washed rind goat cheese--it's a lot of work, but oh so worth it in the end." 8 ounce package.
