Founders Kimmee Arndt and Evan Hoffman of Greenpoint Trading Co. blend their spices in nearby Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY. They make many different blends of herbs and spices but we are especially fond of their French Countryside Blend, a versatile take on the classic Herbes de Provence. A fragrant mix of dried thyme, rosemary, lavender, marjoram, basil, sage and oregano, it is excellent mixed with butter and rubbed on meats. Try it sprinkled on a soft, young goat cheese or as a topping for flatbreads. And a most excellent and unusual ingredient to be added to your favorite brownie recipe.
